Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year — Our Final Chapter!

Welcome back, Cushing Cats!

On behalf of the Cushing PTO Executive Board, we are so excited to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year — our final chapter at Cushing Elementary.

While this year brings a lot of change and a few bittersweet feelings, it also gives us one very special opportunity: to make this final year at Cushing one to remember. Together, we want to celebrate the people, traditions, friendships, and memories that have made Cushing such a special place over the years — while creating plenty of new stories along the way.

Your generous support of the PTO makes it possible for us to bring so many wonderful experiences to our students and staff. Throughout this final chapter, we’ll be working behind the scenes to support in-school enrichment activities and presentations, field trips, book fairs, Field Day, teacher appreciation, classroom supplies, and after-school community-building events — all with the goal of making this year extra special for our Cushing Cats.

GET INVOLVED

As a parent or caregiver of a Cushing student, you’re automatically a member of our PTO!

There are so many ways to be part of the Cushing story this year. Whether you have an hour to volunteer at an event, can help behind the scenes, or simply want to lend a hand when you can, every contribution makes a difference.

Our motto this year is “Many hands make light work,” and we’re committed to dividing what we do into smaller, more manageable tasks so that volunteering feels enjoyable, meaningful, and doable. Most importantly, we want this to be a year where we come together as a community and make the most of Our Final Chapter.

STAY UP-TO-DATE

We use the school newsletter, Facebook, and Instagram to keep our Cushing community in the know about all things Cushing.

Be sure to check our calendar regularly so you can plan ahead and join us for the many events, activities, and celebrations we have planned throughout the year.

DONATE TO OUR ANNUAL APPEAL

This year, our Annual Appeal will be our primary fundraiser.

As we enter Cushing’s final year, our goal is to raise the funds needed to support the experiences and traditions that make this community so special. Every dollar raised through this year’s appeal will be used to benefit our students and staff at Cushing during this final chapter.

Your support — whether large or small — will help us make the most of this year and create meaningful experiences and memories that our Cushing Cats can carry with them long after the final bell rings.

LET’S MAKE IT ONE FOR THE BOOKS!

We know this final chapter will bring a mix of emotions, but we also know that we get to write this chapter together.

So let’s fill these pages with laughter, celebrations, school spirit, new traditions, old favorites, and plenty of memories.

Here’s to making the 2026–2027 school year the absolute best one yet — and giving Cushing Elementary the final chapter it deserves.

We’re so thrilled you’re joining us, and we can’t wait to see what we’ll write together!
